-HUXLEY GOOD NIGHT SLEEP MASK-
This Korean skincare brand reached cult status in no time at all. They launched sometime in 2017 and since have become one of those brands South Africans could only hope they’d one day be able to get their hands on.
*Thank you Dermastore for making our skincare dreams come true by bringing this yummy brand to our shores.
Elegant and simple, their branding and packaging is to DIE for. But that’s not where it ends. The brand uses natural ingredients to combat damage done by environmental elements. The star ingredient is Sahara prickly pear seed oil. It’s quite a special ingredient if you consider it takes 1million seeds and 36 hours’ manual labor to extract 1 liter of the precious oil.
This ingredient gets used across the entire product range for its highly moisturising & soothing properties. It also performs equally well when it comes to protecting and restoring the skin barrier.
Ok so what did I think of the Good Night Sleep mask?
As I mentioned before, I’m not mad about the smell. Fragrance is so incredibly nostalgic and can take you to a place or moment you just did not enjoy. This is the case with the cactus scent. BUT… there’s a BUT.
Because I’ve seen real results after using the Oil Essence, I am able to look (or smell) past the scent barrier.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad smell at all. It’s clean and hygienic and fresh – it’s just not my favorite scent profile.
In essence: it’s a good product. It goes on smoothly and has a gel-like feel. It feels soothing and gentle on the skin and it absorbed easily into my skin. I tried it twice before writing this review and both mornings my skin looked bright and felt soft.
