THE SKIN CO. and their COLD PRESSED SKIN. range
One of the most exciting brands to launch this year has to be The Skin Co.
The first brand under the The Skin Co. umbrella is the snazzy, first of its kind, ingestible cosmetics food bar and health shop. You can have your Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid or Resveratrol added to your smoothie or your plant-based meal. The food served at the launch event were beautifully presented and looked healthy yet decadent.
The space is edgy, innovative, fresh and worth a visit. I haven’t yet made up my mind or gathered enough facts to share my opinion on ingestible cosmetics.
What I CAN share with you is my experience with their skincare range: COLD PRESSED SKIN. The range consists of six products that brings superfoods to the skin. All six products are natural, raw, vegan, cruelty-free, and include cold-pressed cosmetic oils and extracts.
I got to try the cleanser and the moisturiser (*gifted at the event) and both are really impressive products.
The cleanser looks like a smoothie for your face. It naturally lathers without the help of nasty sulphates, which explains why it doesn’t dry out my skin when I use it. I don’t enjoy feeling tight after I’ve cleansed so this one is a great option if you share my preference. It contains broccoli which is a natural source of vitamin C, making it high in antioxidants. Squalane balances oil production and is highly hydrating.
The moisturizer is the one that really blew my socks off: it sinks into my skin and doesn’t make me feel sticky or shiny. The Multi-vitamin Phyto complex brings a wealth of skin brightening and regenerating vitamins to the skin.
All in all, I simply adore this moisturiser and would love a bigger tube of it (currently sold in a 50ml tube). A little goes a long way but I’m going to go through this one fast.
I’ve got my eye on their Probiotic face mist and the Body oil, I’d love to try them next.
