Quick Review: OPI Nail Envy
Just a quick review and shout out to this very hard-working, money-where-it's-mouth-is product from OPI! I've been battling with my nails over the last couple of months. I usually always have gel on (I prefer OPI gel over all the other brands) because I am shockingly bad at maintaining normal nail varnish. I'm a hands-on person and this means gel is required. I also dislike the colour of my own natural nail. It's a evil cycle of always wearing some sort of nail camouflage in order to hide my natural nails which leads to even more damage to my natural nail.
I recently did something really silly tho. I kept my gelish on for wayyyyy too long. I'm not the peeling kind but it really got a bit ridiculous and I ended up doing some serious damage to my natural nails. Enough about that. Luckily I got an invite (perfect timing) to an OPI launch where they gifted us with a nail envy in the beautiful Bubble Bath colour. It's my first time using Opi's nail strengthener and I am sold for life!
Hail hydrolysed wheat protein and calcium, the two heroic ingredients in nail Envy. Hydrolysed wheat protein improves the nail's tensile strength which means it will respond- and bounce back easier from everyday knocks and ware and tare. The product was invented to give nails a break after acrylic or gel application and help get them in top shape to receive the same treatments again.
How to use:
Remove gel or nail varnish during a manicure and apply Nail Envy to clean, dry nails. At first, start with 2 layers and then, if your nails are very damaged and thin, apply another layer of Nail Envy every second day until you notice your nails feeling thicker and more hardy. OPI Nail Envy is available at all good beauty salons, Click's, Discem, selected Woolworths stores and you can shop it here at Takealot.
